Luisman was born in 1962 in Germany. In his early teens he was brought to southern France for many vacations and got a beginner oil painting set with a few panels, in order to become the new Van Gogh. Or probably his parents just wanted him out of the holiday home, as they pursued their own physical activities 😉

He the went to Uni to study Math, Physics and Electrical Engineering and followed through to become a general manager in a big electrical company. During a 3 year expatriate stay in Shanghai, China, he picked up on his dreams of teenage years. Dabbling in oil and ink, as can be seen on the streets there.

Retiring in his mid 40s to the Philippines, he went to enjoy life for a few years, drinking heavily, hanging out in seedy bars and eating all kinds of junk food. He avoided going batshit crazy during the fake pandemic and thought about what form of art he wants to use his time on for the rest of his life. The decision fell on acrylic paintings, as this relative new medium allows for all kinds of technical experiments, which are not possible in oils.

He likes the surreal, cubism and some types of pop art.
